Worth a stop while you're in town. When we first came out to tour the venue, the line was down the block, and it turns out that's just a normal morning here. The pastries and coffee are excellent. There's seating inside, upstairs, and on the patio, so the line moves faster than it looks.

Vale la pena pasar por aquí mientras estén en Benicia. La primera vez que vinimos a conocer el lugar de la boda, la fila daba la vuelta a la cuadra, y resulta que así son todas las mañanas. La repostería y el café son excelentes. Hay mesas adentro, en el piso de arriba y en el patio, así que la fila avanza más rápido de lo que parece.

Jennifer's favorite lunch spot. Fried chicken sandwiches, wings, and salads, and the kind of place she'd happily go every week. Fast and casual, you order on a screen and they call your name. Open until 10pm most nights. It's about fifteen minutes from downtown Walnut Creek, so you'll want a car.

El lugar favorito de Jennifer para comer. Sándwiches de pollo frito, alitas y ensaladas, del tipo de lugar al que iría feliz cada semana. Es rápido e informal: uno ordena en una pantalla y luego llaman tu nombre. Abren hasta las 10 de la noche casi todos los días. Queda a unos quince minutos del centro de Walnut Creek, así que van a necesitar carro.

Teaspoon started as a single shop in Los Altos, where Jennifer went to high school, so this one is sentimental. It's boba done really well, with drinks made to order and a seasonal menu that changes through the year. Jennifer's order is the osmanthus oolong. There are plenty of warm options too, which helps in January, and they sell baked goods if you want something alongside.

Teaspoon empezó como una sola tienda en Los Altos, donde Jennifer estudió la preparatoria, así que este lugar tiene un significado especial para nosotros. El boba es buenísimo, preparan las bebidas al momento y el menú va cambiando con las estaciones del año. Lo que pide Jennifer es el oolong de osmanto, cuando lo tienen. A popular spot back when Alex was in high school, and still going strong. Bagels, lox, breakfast sandwiches, and good coffee, open from 6am. It's about a mile from the Walnut Creek Marriott, so a twenty-minute walk or a very short drive if you're staying there. They close at 2pm, so plan it as a morning stop.

Era un lugar muy popular cuando Alex iba en la preparatoria, y sigue igual de concurrido. Tienen bagels, salmón ahumado, sándwiches de desayuno y buen café. Abren desde las 6 de la mañana. Queda a poco más de kilómetro y medio del Walnut Creek Marriott, así que se puede llegar caminando en unos veinte minutos, o en carro en un momento. Cierran a las 2 de la tarde, así que considérenlo para la mañana.
