Cocktail attire, please!Wear whatever makes you feel great. Go bold with color, keep it all neutral, or finally break out that thing that's been hanging in your closet waiting for an occasion. We're just excited for an excuse to get dressed up together. Our only ask: skip the jeans and t-shirts. Think sleek pants, a good button-up, or a dress you love.¡Vestimenta de cóctel, por favor!

Jennifer and Alex met in university through common social circles, crossing paths every so often without ever really knowing each other.Their first real interaction came when Jennifer moved back from Sweden and needed help entering a competition. She asked Alex. Together they filmed a Twilight inspired video, which Jennifer would like on the record was a creative decision and not a personal one, as she has never seen a single Twilight film. Then life did what life does. They graduated, started new jobs, moved to new cities. Eventually they both ended up in San Diego, at the same time. They clicked immediately, and were spending nearly every day together before long, working from home side by side and traveling whenever they could. Seven months later they were living together.Alex proposed by taking Jennifer where her heart has always been, with horses. After a two-and-a-half hour trail ride, they cleaned up back at the Airbnb, where he asked with a bottle of wine he'd had labeled with a custom Moomin design. They knew early on that this was it, and they'd love to share the day with all of you.

Q + A

One House Bakery

918 First Street, BeniciaWorth a stop while you're in town. When we first came out to tour the venue, the line was down the block, and it turns out that's just a normal morning here. The pastries and coffee are excellent. There's seating inside, upstairs, and on the patio, so the line moves faster than it looks.

Jennifer's Favorite Lunch Spot, Star Bird

2849 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut CreekJennifer's favorite lunch spot. Fried chicken sandwiches, wings, and salads, and the kind of place she'd happily go every week. Fast and casual, you order on a screen and they call your name. Open until 10pm most nights. It's about fifteen minutes from downtown Walnut Creek, so you'll want a car.

Jennifer's Favorite Boba Spot

2977 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut CreekTeaspoon started as a single shop in Los Altos, where Jennifer went to high school, so this one is sentimental. It's boba done really well, with drinks made to order and a seasonal menu that changes through the year. Jennifer's order is the osmanthus oolong. There are plenty of warm options too, which helps in January, and they sell baked goods if you want something alongside.

Alex's Favorite Bagel Shop

1930 Mt Diablo Boulevard, Walnut CreekA popular spot back when Alex was in high school, and still going strong. Bagels, lox, breakfast sandwiches, and good coffee, open from 6am. It's about a mile from the Walnut Creek Marriott, so a twenty-minute walk or a very short drive if you're staying there. They close at 2pm, so plan it as a morning stop.
